History

MaryAnn Richards, owner and infant room teacher at M. and C. Children's Learning Place started working with children when she was sixteen years old. MaryAnn went to school for Early Childhood Education and worked her way up to a Director Certification in Massachusetts. MaryAnn was the center director for a Massachusetts child care center for 15 years. In 1998, after moving to Deerfield, NH MaryAnn started a licensed in home daycare which grew into a licensed family group in home daycare. In 2003 she purchased the building in Candia which is home to M. and C. Children's Learning Place.

Melissa Gray, center director of M. and C. Children's Learning Place and also MaryAnn's daughter has also worked with children since she was sixteen years old. She obtained her Early Childhood Education degree from NHTI and began directing M. and C. Children's Learning Place since the opening of the daycare center in January, 2003.

MaryAnn and Melissa have always considered the children and parents at M. and C. Children's Learning Place to be their "extended family" and have been blessed with watching so many children grow!
